Treatment of congestive heart failure with combined traditional Chinese and western medicine in thirty-two patients

[Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of combined TCM and Western medicine in treating congestive heart failure.[Methods] The patients were randomly divided into two groups.The control group was treated with routine therapy,while the treatment group with routine therapy and Shenmai(Ginseng and root of dwarf lilyturf) injection and Xiangdan injection.The curative effect was recorded.[Results] All the excellent effect rate,total effective rate and LVEF were significantly increased in patients with congestive heart failure treated with Shenmai injection and Xiangdan injection without adverse reaction.[Conclusion] The treatment with Shenmai injection and Xiangdan injection for CHF is safe and effective.
