Abstract

Zhang Cheng-zhi's humanist idea is aesthetic romanticism and moral idealism. Its object-absence results from not being created in a secular society with the characteristic of market economy. The causes for it lie in a single method of thinking, a behaviour pattern of dividing motive and effect and a value pattern without self-reflection. Under secular context, Zhang Cheng-zhi's humanist idea directly losts its constructive or critical object in premise, so it is a tragedy.
