Abstract
Objective:To find out the characteristics of pathology of IgM nephropathy with nephrotic syndrome. Methods: 20 patients with biopsy-proven primary IgM nephropathy who presented with nephrotic syndrome in department of nephrology of our hospital during the period of 2005~2007 were studied. All biopsies were processed for light, immunofluorescence. Results:Renal pathological investigation showed mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis(MEPGN) in 15 cases(75%),focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis was found in 1 case(5%),membrance glomerulonephritis in 1 case(5%).C3 staining was observed in 25% of specimens with a intensity. Conclusions: Primary IgM nephropathy who presented with nephrotic syndrome is common, the pathology chang is characteristics.
