Evaluation on Ecological Security of Regional Land Resources: A Case Study of Jiaxing City,Zhejiang Province

Ecological security research is a frontier field of sustainable development of land resources at present. However, ecological security theory of land use and evaluation studies have not been unfold in deed. It seems that the research on land ecological security is almost at the first stage. Based on the analysis of notion, content and object of ecological security, this paper discusses evaluation methods of land ecological security, and attempts to found representative index system of ecological security evaluation of land resources. Taking Jiaxing City in Zhejiang province as an example, from three aspects such as nature, economy, society, inspecting through completeness and the scientificity for evaluation index, altogether 24 indices of variable layer, compose and construct an index system of ecological security evaluation of land resources fit to provincial characteristics. Then it has a comprehensive evaluation in this City on land ecological security of land resources in 1991 and 1997. The Study on the evaluation thinks, though it has some improvement in Jiaxing city, that the security is still in the safe state of Differ from comparatively . At last, this paper has an analysis of the actuality of land ecological security in Jiaxing City, and puts forward several critical issues concerning ecological security theory of land use and evaluation. Firstly, draw up land ecological function partition and implement planning of ecological protection. Secondly, develop suburban edge advantage and popularize ecological agriculture vigorously. And finally, propaganda of land ecological protection is developed and land ecological protective legal system is established.
