Abstract
Objective: To establish the transgenic mice model harbouring hepatitis B virus (HBV) core gene (ayw type). Methods:The transgenic mice were generated by microinjecting core gene into fertilized eggs. The analysis of the HBV core gene integration in the transgenic mice was carried out by PCR, immunohistochemistry and H E staining. Results:Six founder transgenic mice were obtained. HBcAg was detected in hepatocellular nuclei and cytoplasm in one founder transgenic mouse.Hepatitis B virus core gene integrated in all 10 F 1 offsprings. HBcAg was detected in 4 of 10. Conclusion:The HBV core gene is integrated in the mice genome and can be expressed.
