Abstract
The contemporary argument of liberalism and communitarianism highlights the dilemma of modernity,and also further advances the modernity.As the ideology of modern society based on material dependence,liberalism contains its own contradictions that can not be overcome.The communitarianism tries to overcome or go beyond the modernity based on a new set of theory.While Marx's social doctrine is just a kind of positive theory which abandons liberalism and communitarianism,achieves the true freedom and equality of human being,and resolves the crisis of the modernity.
