The expression of cyclin E in invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast

Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between the expression of cyclin E and prognosis in invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast.Methods 35 cases with invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast were studied for cyclin E expression with immunohistochemical method.Results The high cyclin E expression rate in the patients with invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast was 57.14%,while the low expression rate was 42.86%.High cyclin E expression in invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast was not correlated with tumor size,lymphnode metastasis,but had a high correlation with the prognosis of the patients showed a negative expression of ER and PR.Conclusions Cyclin E expression may be significant in predicting the prognosis of the patients with invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast and in selecting appropriate postoperative adjuvant therapies.
