Abstract

The composition and number of the zooplankton species have been analyzed by their collection at the 11 sampling sites of Lake Fuxian.33 species of the zooplankton and three larval varieties have been found.Of which,there are 27 species of Rotifers,belonging to 14 genera of 9 families;5 species of Cladocerans,belonging to 4 genera of 4 families;and 1 species of Copepods.The dominant species are Keratella cochlearis,Collotheca sp.,Gastropus minor,Ployarthra valgaris,Bosmina sp,Phyllodiaptomus tunguidus and Copepoda larva.The Margalef diversity index of Rotifera is 3.42,and the Shannon-Wiener diversity index of zooplankton is 2.34.They both show that the lake water is clean.The Shannon-Wiener diversity index has a negative correlation with the permanganate index.
