Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the value of 64-slice spiral computed tomography angiography(CTA) for the assessment ofcoronary artery disease. Methods:Fifty patients were performed 64-slice spiral CT in coronary artery intravenously contrast enhanced 64-slice spiral computed tomography Coronary angiography was achieved during a single breath hold, and ECG images were reconstructed retrospectively. All axial images were transferred to an external workstation. The reconstructed images were processed into volume rendering(VR) and multiplanner reconstruction(MPR) and curver planner reconstruction(CPR) and maximum intensity projection(MIP),The results of coronary reconstructions were compared with SCA to analyze the accuracy of coronary artery disease. Results:In the 535 segments of coronary artery of 50 patients 515 were judged to be evaluable by MSCT in detecting stenosis of coronary artery was 88.41%,95.34%,75.31%and 98. 09%.The accuracy rate of 64 MSCT in detecting stenosis of coronary arterywas 83.75%.Conclusion:64-slice MSCT coronary angiography is a reliable diagnostic method for coronary heart disease and promising technique for noninvasive screening and diagnosis of coronary disease.
