The status and development trend of Chinese academic journals evaluation system

[Purpose]The existing academic journals' evaluation system is investigated thoroughly in order to explore its development trend.[Methodology]By analyzing the status and problems of academic journals' evaluation system,a scientific and rational evaluation system is built.[Findings]There are tw o kinds of academic journalsv evaluation system in China.One is based on the assessmentof qualified appraisaland excellent journal evaluation.The other is based on the influenceof core journals' evaluation.These tw o evaluation systems both have certain limitations.Rating agencies in China should integrate and cooperate w ith each other,take advocating academic norms as an important responsibility,in order to establish a unified and normative academic journals' evaluation system suitable for China' s situation.And the evaluation parameter system and methods should be improved constantly.In the selection of evaluation parameters,its role of guiding the quality of journals should be paid more attention to.[Conclusions] The problems in practical applications should be rethought profoundly by various rating agencies and administrations in order to build a real scientific and rational evaluation system of academic journals.
