Investigation on Kinds of Color-leafed Plants and Its Application in Chongqing

The investigation of the landscape colorful plant species and application in Chongqing showed the common color leafed plants in Chongqing included arbor, shrub, and liana. The order in terms of spieces was: shrubarborliana. There were 29 spieces of plants in the researched areas, which belonged to 16 different types. According to the color of the leaves,they could be divided into 4 types, including single color leaf, double color leaf,mosaic leaf and colorful edge plants. The order in terms of leaf color was: single color leafcolorful edge plantsmosaic leafdouble color leaf. The type with greatest applied area was single color leaf,constituting 75.00% of types and 62.06% of spieces. The main application methods were: block,basic,clump, patch and so on. The main ways were block and basic, constituting 81.25% of types and 55.18% of spieces. Also, some suggestions concerning the landscape plants species and application in Chongqing City were put forward.
