Comparison between the Development of Community Colleges in Shanghai and Guangzhou

By comparing the development of the Community College of Xuhui District,Shanghai,and the development of community education in Guangzhou City Polytechnic,Guangzhou,we find that the similarities of the community college development in these two cities include being favorable for the building of life-long education system and a learning society,based on the platform of formal schooling and utilizing the research function of community education.Whereas the differences are shown in those aspects such as the amount of attention from the government,the influence,faculty,curriculum development and construction of community education,and service mode.
