Abstract

Poetic prosody occupies an important position in the study of historical phonology and phonetics of the Chinese language.This paper discusses the prosody characteristics of the poetry of Pi Ri-xiu and Lu Gui-meng-the late renowned poets in Tang dynasty and then makes a further study of the changes in Chinese sounds in the late Tang Dynasty.
