Survey on AIDS High-risk Behavior among Men Who Have Sex with Man(MSM) in Liaocheng City,2008

[Objective] To understand the sociological characteristics,HIV high risk sexual behaviors,and knowledge about HIV infection among the MSM.[Methods]In June-September,2008,RDS was used to recruit target population and conduct behavioral and serological surveys among MSM.RDSAT and Excel were used to analyze the data obtained.[Results]Among 204 MSM,58.33% thought to be homosexual,61.27% answered all correctly,76.47% had oral sex with men,78.38% had anal sex with men,60.29% had sex with the opposite sex,among the MSM with the above high-risk sexual behaviors,89.32% had anal sex with multiple men in the last six months,89.71% had oral sex with multiple men,86.99% had sex with the opposite sex,and the rate of their condom using was 25.53%.2 HIV cases were detected,with the rate of HIV infection at 1.51%.[Conclusion]The MSM groups have more self-identity feeling and the rate of HIV knowledge is low.They have multiple unfixed sexual partners.The condom using rate is low,with risk of HIV spread among the MSM groups.
