Investigation on AIDS High Risk Behavior among Man Sex with Man(MSM)and HIV Infection in Liaocheng City in 2007

[Objective]To understand the social characteristics,AIDS prevention knowledge,high risk behaviors and HIV infection among man sex with man(MSM) in Liaocheng.[Methods]Investigation was conducted among a total of 132 MSM from June to July in 2007 with RDS(Respondent Driven Sampling).[Results]132 MSM were investigated.58.50% were identified as homosexual.The average understanding rate of eight knowledge about AIDS was 80.07%,28.20% of the MSM answered all correctly.87.06% of MSM had sex with the same sex in recent six months,and the rate of their condom use was 59.09% when had sex with men in the last time.And the rate of their condom use was 32.05% when had sex with women in the last time.and the rate of their condom use was 28.57% when had sex with men with money.the rate of their condom use was 33.33% when had sex with men for money in the last time.And the rate of their condom use was 40% when had sex with men or women in the recent six months.The infection rate of HIV was 1.51% among the 132 MSM.[Conclusion]The MSM group had much self-identity feeling,and AIDS knowledge understanding rate was lower with more unfixed sexual partners,lower rate of condom use and there were HIV infectors in Liaocheng.
