Abstract
Objective:To study iridoids in 95% ethanol extract from stems of Paederia scandense.Method:Iridoids are enriched by D101-macroporous resin. The constituents of the moiety of 30% aqueous EtOH are isolated and purified by silica gel,ODS and sephadex LH-20 column choromatography. The structures of the isolated iridoids are elucidated by physical-chemical properties and spectral analysis.Result:Five iridoids are obtained and identified as Saprosmoside E(1),paederoside(2),paederosidic acid(3),paederosidic acid methyl ester(4),deacetyl asperulosidic acid methyl ester(5).Conclusion:Compound 5 is isolated from this plant for the first time.
