Abstract
The effects of varieties and planting density on the yield of summer and autumn grain crops in Eastern Hebei were studied. The results showed that the average yield of winter wheat was more than 6 180 kg/hm2,when the planting density of Lunxuan 987,Jingdong No.12 and Jingdong No.8 was 2 250 000 plants/hm2,3 750 000 plants/hm2 and 5 250 000 plants/hm2,respectively.The average yield of summer maize was more than 8 505 kg/hm2,when the planting density of Zhengdan 958 and Xundan 20 was more than 67 500 plants/hm2 and not more than 60 000 plants/hm2,respectively.
