Review of the Changes in Research Topics of Moral Education over the Past 30 Years:A Narrative Study of Education

Over the past 30 years,research topics in moral education showed a complicated route from the reflections on the communist moral education and the start of the root-seeking complex,via the formation of the three climaxes in construction of the moral education discipline,the discussions about the relationship between commodity economy and moral education in the primary stage of socialism,the exploration of the status and the function of moral education,the introduction,the systematic research and the comparative study of foreign moral concepts,the research about the basic theory of moral education,care about some hot issues such as effectiveness of moral education,subjective moral education,education of life and civic morality,and finally to the construction of a moral education system.In the process of its development,moral education research changed from a mere appendage of politics to scientific and human-oriented study;the socialist values and patriotism education were not abandoned;the traditional moral education study was modernized and the study of foreign moral theories was localized;the aim of moral education changed from elite education to civic moral education;and moral education transformed from the intellectual pattern to a pattern combining intellectualism and life and from indoctrination to interaction,selection and construction in method.
