Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance and clinical value of serum uric acid determination in patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension.Method 80 patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension randomly selected from January 2010 to April 2011 in our hospital for check-ups were served as observation group, mild in 32 cases, moderate in 27 cases and severe in 21 cases.50 cases of normal pregnancy were served as control group. The serum uric acid(UA) were determined and compared between the two groups. Results The level of UA of the observation group was(364.7 ± 96.5)μmol/L and the control group(230.6 ± 53.8)μmol/L,the difference was statistically significant(P0.01).The level of UA in patients with mild, moderate and severe pregnancy-induced hypertension were(296.5 ± 59.2)μmol/L,(356.0 ± 69.9)μmol/L and(473.8 ± 93.3)μmol/L respectively, there was significant difference among them(P0.05).Conclusion There is close relationship between the severity of pregnancy-induced hypertension and serum uric acid(UA) level.Dynamic monitoring of changes in serum uric acid levels has important clinical significance in diagnosis and prognosis of pregnancyinduced hypertension.
