Acupoints Application Characteristics of Acupuncture for Primary Dysmenorrhea in Randomized Controlled Trials

Objective: Summarizes the domestic acupoints-spectrum of primary dysmenorrheal randomized controlled trials in recent years. Methods: Search for the randomized controlled trials of acupuncture treatment for primary dysmenorrhea in recent five years,analyze the acupoints application frequency distribution. Results: There are 57 articals recording primary dysmenorrhea treated by acupuncture in recent 5 years,52 acupoints were used. The highest frequency of acupoints are RN4 and SP6,the highest frequency of meridians are Ren Meridian and Foot-Taiyin Meridian. The most distribution of acupoints are Lower abdomen,lower limbs,the back and the lumbosacral. Conclusion: The common used acupoints RN4 and SP6,meridians Ren Meridian and Foot-Taiyin Meridian are recommended for primary dysmenorrhea.
