Abstract
Xylitol was made from corncob with WO3/ZrO2 solid acid pretreatment and fermentation.The effects of pretreatment temperature,pretreatment time,dosage of solid acid and solid/liquid ratio on the xylitol yield were discussed.The pretreatment process was optimized and analyzed with response surface methodology,and quadratic regression model was founded.The results showed that solid acid pretreatment could promote Corncob degradation and increase xylitol yield.The xylitol yield was increased 25.21 % as pretreatment temperature was 110.76 °C,pretreatment time was 60.71 min and the dosage of solid acid was 4.1 %.
