Abstract
Objective: To analyze the incidence of abnormal karyotypes and clinical value of chromosome analysis in spontaneous abortion. Methods: Chromosome analysis was performed on 1018 couples who were diagnosed spontaneous abortion in January 1996 ~ June 2010.Results: 129 abnormal karotypes were detected in 1018 cases(12.67%),including 24 cases of balanced reciprocal translocation and 12 cases of Robertsonian translocations;80 cases of chromosome polymorphism;11 cases of inversions and 2 cases of duplication. Conclusion: Chromosome abnormality is one of the important factors of miscarriage and stillbirth. It is significant to analyze chromosomal in patients with early recurrent spontaneous abortion.
