Abstract
[Objective]The research aimed to investigate the genetic diversity and differentiation of Triplophysa pseudoscleroptera populations.[Method]The complete sequences of the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene of Triplophysa pseudoscleroptera were obtained by using of PCR and DNA sequencing.[Result]The complete sequences of Cyt b gene(1 140 bp) were obtained from 58 individuals of Triplophysa pseudoscleroptera, representing three populations from Yellow River and Baoku River, and a total of 20 haplotypes were identified. The genetic diversity of population from Baoku River was lower than that of population from Yellow River.[Conclusion]The significant genetic differentiation between populations from Yellow River and Baoku River suggested that they should be managed and conserved separately and that efforts should be directed towards preserving the genetic diversity of each group.
