Non-public-owned economy, having undergone twists and turns, has developed fast since 1992, which has become the main part of the basic market in socialist market economy. Effort must be made to further uplift, theoretically, the status of non-public-owned economy, to undermine the theory that it is detrimental to the mainstay of public-owned economy, and to understand more deeply and completely the role it has played in China's economy, politics and culture.
