Abstract

With the urgent need of power grid emergency communication,the system must establish the communication channel in a maximum distance.It is necessary to choose a adaptable and scalable wireless communication technology as a strong complement to the optical fiber communication network.Through performance comparisons of various wireless communication technologies and analyses of the key WiMAX technology applied to power communication system,and in combination of the need for power grid emergency communication,it its found that the excellent performance of WiMAX technology could meet the need of emergency communication.Thus the networking program is constructed,and the existing network resources are fully utilized to build wireless network platform with WiMAX as main techonoly on the highly reliable cable network.And different emergency channels could also be built,thus to meet the different requirements of communication channels under the conditions of emergent accidents.
