Abstract
The increase of business on private power communications network and construction of smart grid boost the research on next generation network for private communications network. With the high-throughput, wide coverage, unified standards, and industry chain’s maturity, WiMAX becomes the most promising technology for broadband wireless private communications network, and effectively carries the electric power grid business such as distribution automation , interactive marketing and emergency communication, etc. However, to apply WiMAX on power communications network, there are still some key points: Spectrum allocation for domestic private communication network and cost of network construction.
