Abstract

Objective To perform the pathogenic bacteria detection and the source tracing molecular type analysis from a food poisoning caused by salmonella by pulsed-field gelelectrophoresis( PFGE). Methods Samples and residual food from diarrhea patients in food poisoning were collected, according to GB4789. 4-2010 etc, thirteen isolated salmonella strains were further identified and cultured. Molecular marker H9812,the DNA of isolate was digested with restriction enzyme Xba I,PFGE was used for molecular typing. Results Two strains of Salmonella. Regent( O3,10: Hf,g) was isolated from the suspicious food of5 peanuts; eleven strains of Salmonella. regent was also isolated from 15 feces and vomit sample,PFGE typing from selecting3 strains showed that strains of the same serotype were highly similar, the fingerprint maps of food-poisoning isolates were the same. Conclusion This food poisoning was caused by Salmonella. Regent. PFGE is an effective method of molecular typing. The PFGE technology applied in tracing the suspected source of food poisoning and the molecular epidemiologieal study on strains.
