Abstract
The coagulation treatment of the effluent from bleaching and washing plants where wood or bamboo are used as raw material are studied. The results show that the chroma and COD_(Cr) are reduced after treatment by using conventional coagulants of PAC and PAM.The decoloring of coagulation treatment on the effluent of bamboo pulping is better than on the effluent of wood pulping, the discoloring efficiency is better than COD_(Cr) removal efficiency in the bamboo pulp mill, the discoloring effect in the wood pulp mill is more notable after the effluent is treated by biochemical process.
