Analysis on the Environmental Kuznets Curve of Henan Province in the Year of 1985—2006

After Semon Kuznets'perspective of Inverted-UCurve,the American economists Grossman and Krueger perspected the Environmental Kuznets Curve in 1991.From then on,many approaches analyzed the relation between the economic growth and the environmental protection.This passage based on economic and environmental statistical data of Henan Province from 1985 to 2006,a model between environmental quality(industrial three wastes) and economic growth was established and the characteristic of Kuznets Curve was studied in this paper.The results showed that the Environmental Kuznets Curve of Henan Province,which has two forms: U+the left of the inverted-U,the left of the inverted-U,is not appropriate to generalize of standard EKC for all environmental indicators along with economic growth.That means the amount of the industrial three wastes is also too large for environment,the water waste'EKC is at the turning point,and the other two curve have not reach the turning point.For the coordinated development between nature,economy and society,it is important to strengthen the protection for environment.
