A General Survey on the Relationship between Yue and Chu

Abstract

During the Spring and Autumn period, in the Yangtze valley the confrontation appeared between Yue and Chu. The two states coexisted peacefully but the comprehensive power of Yue was superior to that of Chu. The two sides influenced and infiltrated each other so much that they both made great contribution to the ancient civilization of Chinese nation.
