Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between ovary excision and serum levels of TNF α, TGF β 1. Methods Serum levels of TNF α and TGF β 1 in ovariectomized rats were measured by ELISA. Results The serum levels of TNF α were increased〔(53 88±16 35)ng/L〕, but the TGF β 1 were decreased 〔(6 78±0 75)μg/L〕 in ovariectomized rats when E 2 decreased compared with those of the Sham group( P 0 05, P 0 01) . At the same time, the serum levels of E 2 were negatively correlated with the TNF α, but positive correlated with the TGF β 1. Conclusions E 2 can inhibite the secretion of TNF α, but promote the secretion of TGF β 1, then stimulate the bone resorption and bring about the osteoporosis.
