Abstract
Based on FPGA application technology, using Altera's DE2-70 development board,Cyclone Ⅱ family EP2C70 as the core chip,a new type of adjustable signal generator based on FPGA was designed.Through the Quartus Ⅱ and Verilog HDL designed LPM_ROM module which customizing data ROM,and through the address pointer to read data in different regions of ROM,according to the difference of reading data interval to achieve the function of frequency adjustment. The system produces sine wave, square wave, triangle wave, and saw tooth wave.Using SignalTapⅡ real-time tested the different waveforms, experiments show that the system software analog data of the signal generator and the theory custom wave are consistent.
