Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical application and safety of matrine combined with heparin in the treatment of cholestatic hepatitis. Methods: 87 patients with cholestatic hepatitis were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group(46 cases) and the control group(41 cases). The patients in the control group were treated with Ganlixin, potassium and magnesium aspartate, reduced glutathione for general liver protection.46 patients in the treatment group were treated, apart from the conventional therapy, with 50 ~ 100 mg heparin(in 0.9% sodium chloride injection of 100 ml or 5% glucose injection of 100 mL),and 150 mg matrine injection(in 5% glucose injection of 250 mL)by intravenous infusion, once a day,for four weeks. The changes in serum total bilirubin(TBIL),alanine amino-transferase(ALT),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),r-glutamyltrans-peptidase peptidase(r-GT),and prothrombin time(PT) were observed among the patients. Results: In the course of the treatment all patients showed decreased TBIL,ALT,ALP,r-GT,PT values. The comparison made after treatment was as follows.Decline in the treatment group was greater than that in the control group, with significant difference(P 0.05 or P 0.01).The total treatment efficiency rate in the treatment group(89.1%)was higher than that in the control group(68.3%),and compared with the control group, the difference was significant(χ2 = 5.74,P 0.05),with mild adverse reactions. Conclusion: Matrine combined with heparin for the treatment of cholestatic hepatitis plays a coordinating role in promoting jaundice dissipating,in improving hepatic function, with jaundice dropping fast and less powerful adverse reactions.
