Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of biventricular pacing to treat congestive heart failure. Method The patients,2 male,1 female,57 years old on average, with refractory congestive heart failure and left bundle branch block, were implanted with three or four chamber biventricular pacemaker. The 2187 or 2188 coronary sinus leads were inserted to the branch of coronary sinus to pace left ventricle. Results The heart function was significantly improved after biventricular pacing at optimized A V delay. The NYHA class of cardiac function increased from Ⅲ~Ⅳ to Ⅱ. Conclusion The biventricular pacing is an effective method to treat patients with congestive heart failure with left bundle branch block.
