An improved fast handoff scheme based on mobile IPv6

Abstract

In mobile IP networks,because of latency time of handover procedure and the higher loss data packet,current schemes of mobility management misfit in real-time services and mobile telecommunication.The strategy of mobility management should be improved in order to ameliorate its performance of handoff and to implement seamless handoff and zero lost package.This paper introduces a fast handoff scheme based on mobile IPv6,which is able to mobile nodes quickly getting their new CoA in new network.The scheme can effectively reduce latency time and lost data packet,and it performs good character of handoff.
