Abstract
[Objective]To understand the blood pressure level and incidence of relative high blood pressure among middle and primary school students of city proper in Taiyuan, and to provide scientific basis for early prevention of high blood pressure.[Methods]Form Sept to Nov,2007,blood pressure, height, body weight, chest measurement and rate of heart were checked among 6 924 students aged from 10 to 18 from three middle and three primary schools of city proper in Taiyuan.[Results]Of the 3 453 male and 3 472 female students investigated, their systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure increased with age increment. The level of systolic blood pressure among male students in different aged group was higher than female students(P0.01),The level of diastolic blood pressure was higher among male students in different aged group than female students(P0.01),except the students aged 13(P0.05).The rate of relative high blood pressure(systolic blood pressure or diastolic blood pressure≥over 95%) was 5.65% among male and 1.56% among female students(P0.01).Except the students aged from 10 to 12(P 0.05),the blood pressure from other two male group was higher than the female(P0.01).The rate of relative high blood pressure increased with age increment among male students(P0.01);the rate of relative blood pressure was the highest among female students aged from 13 to 15,there was a difference of the incidence among different aged group(P0.01).The systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure among the students in three aged group had positive correlation with height, body weight and chest measurement(P0.01),but no correlation with the rate of heart(P0.05).[Conclusion]The rate of relative blood pressure among middle and primary school students of city proper in Taiyuan was lower.
