Considerations on curriculum of College English in the new situation

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the present society, English requirements for the college graduates, and College English Curriculum Teaching Requirements, the paper is set to analyze the status quo of and factors involved in the curriculum of College English and to present the principles guiding the subject in the new situation. Then, taking Jiangxi University Of Finance And Economics for example, it presents a program concerning the setup of curriculum of College English in the new situation.
