Abstract

This paper conducts a diagnostic analysis on the weather process of the rainstorm of west of Guangxi on August 21,2005 by Using conventional,infrared cloud image,radar data,and finds that the main direct influence system comes from the under-layer shear line,the upper air low trough and the ground stationary front.the under-layer shear line was the main system initiating the rainstorm.the under-layer vortex developed gradually after the rainstorm.The preliminary simulation test was carried by means of the non-static medium-scale numerical forecast model(MM5),the result indicated that the simulation for this rainstorm belt distribution,the rainstorm center intensity and its position also approached with the real situation.
