Abstract

Haloxylon ammodendron (C.A.Mey.)Bunge is the valuable and rare plant of desert and semi desert of northwest China. The natural Haloxylon ammodendron forest in the Allah region in Inner Mongolia was studied during three years. The growth stage was divided into five main stages: sprout stage, nourishment branch expanding stage, blooming stage, fruit maturing stage and nourishment branch falling stage. The appearance characteristic of the each period proceeding was described in details, the biologic characteristics and ecologic adaptability of this kind of special species in the desert and semi desert was analyzed.
