Content Determination of Borneol and Isoborneol in Huzhang Cream by GC-MS

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the content determination of borneol and isoborneol in Huzhang cream.METHODS:GC-MS method was adopted.The Agilent HP-5MS chromatographic column was used with programmed temperature,high purity He as carrier gas and the vaporizer temperature at 260℃.The flow rate was 1 mL·min-1,the sample size was 2 μL amd split ratio 20:1.The ion source temperature was 230℃ and quadropole temperature was 150℃.Ionization mode was EI.RESULTS:The isoborneol and borneol both showed a good linear relationship were at the range of 0.005~0.061 μg and 0.012~0.150 μg,respectively(r=0.999 7).The average recoveries were 99.56%(RSD=2.20%,n=6)and 99.79%(RSD=2.03%,n=6),respectively.CONCLUSION:The method is stable,simple,sensitive and rapid.It can be used for the content determination of isoborneol and borneol in Huzhang cream.
