Abstract
Volcanic reservoir is characterized as poor physical property and strong heterogeneity. The fracture development for the volcanic rock is a fate factor for gas production. How to estimate the fracture of volcanic rock becomes a research challenge for development of volcanic gas reservoir.Taking an example of volcanic gas reservoir in the south Songliao basin,we use core description, logging and prestack 3-D seismic data to identify 5 high crack density block and 2 main crack extent direction, which is consistent with drilling result and test data. Thus, this technology will play an important role for the later deployment of horizontal well in gas reservoir. The method of combining logging and seismic has the ability to identify and predict volcanic reservoir fracture and guide other similar area of fractured volcanic gas reservoir.
