Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) and digital subtraction angiography(DSA) in ischemic cerebrovascular diseases. Methods 45 patients with ischemic cerebrovascular diseases were detected by both MRA and DSA.The results of MRA were then compared with those of DSA.Results Abnormal conditions were detectable in 390 of 520 vessels(75.0%) by DSA,including arteriosclerosis in 120 arteries, stenosis in 201 arteries, and occlusion in 69 arteries;while the sensitivity of MRA for vascular stenosis was 94.1%,the specificity was 96.2%,and the accuracy was 91.0%.Conclusion MRA is a convenient, safe, and accurate approach in the detection of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases and may be used as an effective screening examination.
