Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To study the short-term efficacy and safety of Entecavir in treatment of chronic hepatitis B. METHODS:80 chronic hepatitis B patients were randomized into the treatment group(treated with Entecavir)and the control group(treated with Adeforvir Dipivoxil),with 20 HBeAg-positive and HBeAg-negative patients in each group. The response effects after treatment for 12wk were observed.RESULTS:At 12wk of treatment, the HBV DNA negative rates of HBeAg-positive patients in the treatment group and the control group were respectively 90% and 40%(P0.05),and those of HBeAg-negative patients in the two groups were respectively 85% and 55%(P0.05);the ALT normalization rates of HBeAg-positive patients in the treatment group and the control group were respectively 80% and 70%(P0.05),and those of HBeAg-negative patients in the two groups were respectively 85% and 65%(P0.05).No adverse reactions were found in both groups.CONCLUSIONS:At 12wk of treatment,Entecavir has better effect in HBV DNA negative rate than Adeforvir Dipivoxi, but shows no significant difference in normalization rate from the latter.
