On the Relationship of Chinese and Parallel Prose Style

All the formal characteristics of parallel prose,which was the result of the uniqueness of Chinese as well as the typical literary style,were embodied by means of the language.However,the development of parallel prose,which was a kind of written elegant literature,is inconsistent from the change of language. Parallel prose changed from six dynasties to Qing dynasty,and its language style was quite distinct from the everyday speech as well as the general written language at that time.It seems that the language parallel prose used is a mode of artificial art,which was departed from both the general oral language and the written one.
