Abstract
Zhentouba I Hydropower Station locates at a narrow valley on Dadu River with a larger flood discharge. Through technical and economic analyses and considering surrounding social environment factors, the diversion of project is chosen as an open channel diversion type with three stages. For achieving the target of putting the first unit into operation in October 2014,the diversion process planning and the layout and structure design of diversion buildings are optimized and adjusted during construction according to the changes of actual construction conditions. Due to these measures, the pre-determined target is basically achieved on time and the diversion buildings operate well during construction. The adjustment and optimization of diversion design is successful.
