Abstract

Objective:To explore the expression of apoptosis inhibitory factor livin in colon cancer tissue and to research its relationship with various clinical factors of colon cancer. Methods:Using immunnohistochemistry S-Pmethod to examin the expression of livin in 100 specimen of colon cancer,30 specimen of benign tumour,30 specimen of para-cancerous,15 specimen of normal colon tissue and 60 specimen of para-cancerous lymph nodes.Result:The positive rate of livin in colon cancer tissue, benign tumor, adjacent tissue, normal tissue was 60%,53.5%,40% and 16.7%,with obvious difference. There was no significant difference of livin in colon cancer histological differentiation, clinical Ducks stages and the positive expression of group with lymph nodes and distant organ metastasis and without metastasis. The positive expression of livin in negative lymphynodes and positive lymphnodes of para-cancerous was 14.3% and 81.3%,with significant statistical difference. Conclusions:The expression of livin plays an important role in the occurrence and development of colon cancer. There is no significant correlation of livin with prognosis of colon cancer patients.
