Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To observe the therapeutic efficacy of adjunctive therapy of reduced glutathione for pediatric acute glomerulonephritis. METHODS: Children with acute glomerulonephritis receiving conventional treatment were randomly divided into treatment group (27 cases)and control group (26 cases). The control group with convertional therapy, treatment group were additionally given adjunctive therapy of reduced glutathione 12 mg·kg-1·d-1. Both of 2 groups were treated for 2 weeks. RESULTS: Compared with control group, the recovery time of oedema, urinary production and blood pressure of treatment group were decreased significantly (P0.05). After 2 week-treatment,the serum urea nitrogen,24 h urine protein quantitation and excretory rate of urine erythrocyte in treatment group were lower than in control group significantly(P0.05). There wasn’n ADR appeared in 2 groups. CONCLUSION: Reduced glutathione is benefit for the recovery of pediatric acute glomerulonephritis.
