An assessment of wild woody ornamental plant resources in Shanxi reservoir area

The wild woody plant resources in Shanxi reservoir area are rich,their development and utilization has enormous economic,social and ecological benefit.On the basis of investigation,analysis and statistics,this paper assessed 180 species of wild woody ornamental plants which fall into 140 genera and 62 families in Shanxi town,ranging from plants with ornamental leaves,flowers to those with ornamental fruits and garden disposition.Some suggestions were given on developing and utilizing rare and good wild woody ornamental plant resources.
