The diversity characteristics and utilization of wild woody ornamental plants in Hunan Province

Abstract
The ornamental plants resource was rich in Hunan.The investigation indicates that there are about 1350 species under 855 genera and 187 families of varied kinds of ornamental trees within Hunan.The species composition and morphological characteristics of wild plants resource in Hunan were analyzed.And it shows that the diversity of ornamental woody plants shows diversity of ecological kinds,ornamental features and functional characteristics in the region.The including species introduction and breeding,research and utilization of wild woody ornamental plants in Hunan were also discussed in the paper.
