Discussions on Rural Land-scape and Rural Landscape Planning in China

Rural landscape is a kind of special type,which with specific behavior,form and coronation and also a regional landscape with special environment,action and construction.With the development and intermeshed between rural and urban economic and social system,the proces-sion of urbanization and decentralization is becoming the more important forces to impact on rural landscape.The aim of ru-ral landscape planning is to release the uncertainty of human effect on environment on the base of cognition and understand-ing the characteristics and values of rural landscape and to accelerate rural sustain-able development and construction of ur-ban-rural integrating landscape.This pa-per discusses systematically the concepts of rural landscape,rural landscape plan-ning and its principles and the core con-tents which contains total landscape image planning,industry suitability region plan-ning,regional planning with orientation of landscape function,country park planning and landscape architecture planning as core of rural settlement.
